I am obsessed with day planners. I often buy one or more a year, always looking for the perfect one. I try really hard to stay completely digital, but I find that really only works with appointments.
I have always wanted to make my own planner, and I think now I am ready. Since it’s almost the end of January, I’m going to work hard to get it out ASAP.
The planner would be geared towards women with ADHD and structured so that staying organized is easier for you.
Right now, here are my ideas:
Monthly calendars in the front
Weekly calendars – 2 pages = 1 week
A small monthly calendar in the corner of the weekly page
Places to keep track of water, vitamins and meds
Top 3 to-dos for the week
Reminders and check off per day for getting those to-dos done
Housekeeping chore listed by day (ex: Monday mop floors)
Separate housekeeping section with an overview of the system plus daily tasks
Dump list – where you write down everything you need to remember or do as a master list
A section for recording where you put things – for instance, tickets to an event
Also under consideration:
A grocery and meal planning section
A master grocery list
Money management tools
The planner would be spiral bound and come with videos or audios to help you work with it.
I would love to hear your comments about this idea. Did I forget something? What do you need in a planner that you’re not getting?
Oh, and if you would be interested in purchasing one when they’re ready, it would help if you could leave a comment just so I have an idea of how many to have printed.
I’m so excited! I hope you are too!
