Happy Mother’s Day

Jump to:

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day, a day traditionally set aside to honor our mothers and all that they do. If you’re a mom yourself, no one has to tell you what a hard job it can be. Hopefully you know the joys and wonders of being a mom, too.

Whether you are a mom with Attention Deficit Disorder, or the mother of a child with ADD, you know that your job of “mom” can be just a little bit more difficult than that of other mothers. I am, to this day, awed by women who can hold down a full-time job, raise their children, and keep their house clean all at the same time. It was more than I could ever do. I was lucky enough just to keep up with the every day stuff.

So, if you are an “ADD Mom” in any sense of the word, I salute you. I recognize what you go through on a daily basis, and I know how hard it is. I’ve been there. Sometimes we make poor choices; sometimes the choices are made for us. Sometimes life seems to spin out of control. But I know you’re doing the best you can. That’s why I do this – to offer support & encouragement, and to educate when I can.

Hug your kids tomorrow, and love them just for who they are. None of us are perfect. And above all, have a Happy Mother’s Day.
