…put it back.
Remember that little list of rules?
Here they are:
If you take it out, put it back.
If you open it, close it.
If you throw it down, pick it up.
If you take it off, hang it up.
If you use it, clean it up.
I think that if all we ADDers lived by this little set of rules (and got our family to do so) our lives would be so much easier.
It’s a nice thought, isn’t it?
Hey, we can dream.
I was reminded of this little set of rules the other day when I woke up in my bed that is still sitting in the middle of the room.
See, last weekend my husband and I decided to give our bedroom a really good cleaning. We moved all the furniture and vacuumed and we dusted and polished everything.
The room is clean but the bed is still in the middle of the room. And I am still using my office chair as a nightstand. Right now I am sitting on a quilt on top of said chair because last night I spilled my water on it and it’s still wet.
Anyway, I woke up in the middle of the room and thought “we really should put this back”. (It’s still there by the way.)
On my way downstairs I noticed my goodie bag from the dentist still on the kitchen table – 2 days after my appointment. And the literature from the vet was there too. Hmmm…. that appointment was 4 days ago.
Guess I better start practicing those rules, huh?
