Flylady

I know that a lot of ADD Moms follow Flylady’s system for keeping the house (and more) under control.

For those of you who may not know, Flylady helps those living in C.H.A.O.S. (Can’t Have Anyone Over Syndrome) learn to polish their sinks and fly one baby step at a time.

Flylady is about keeping your house clean and orderly, eliminating clutter – from your body, too – taking care of yourself, and so much more.

I was once a Flybaby many years ago. Sometimes her system would work extremely well for me and other times it just overwhelmed me.

A lot of Flylady’s system operates by email. She sends a lot of emails every day.

There were times when I felt like I had to be online all day just so I wouldn’t miss an email. Not very productive.

Things have changed, though, and I am trying Flylady again.

First, her system as far as emails go seems to have changed. I can choose to get one in digest form instead of many throughout the day. And another big reason that I decided to try it again is that Flylady is now paired with one of my favorite calendars – Cozi.

Cozi is meant to be a family shared onine calendar system, but I use it just for me.

I like that I can check my calendar on my laptop, my phone and my iPod. In addition to the calendar, there is a to do list, a journal, and more.

Now there is Flylady there too. I can check Cozi not only to find out what’s on my calendar this week, but also to see what zone we’re working on with Flylady.

I also like that when I log into Flylady’s site, it shows my Cozi calendar.

For me, this means extra reminders about keeping the house clean and getting things on my calendar done.

I only just joined Flylady but I promise to keep you posted on whether or not it’s working for me.
