As you may know, I am a member of the BlogHer community. BlogHer is a publishing network made up of more talented women writers than I can count.

BlogHer members write on a variety of topics that interest women, including organization, family, food, money matters and more.

Recently I was asked to participate in BlogHer’sLife Well Lived“, a new section that dicusses things like looking your best, getting organized and being happy.

My participation came under the heading of Organization, specifically organizing your purse. Here are the questions I was asked, along with my answers:

Question: What are the biggest issues you have in keeping your purse organized and neat? What 3 things do you have in your purse that you do not need?

As a mom with ADD, I have lots of issues with keeping anything neat and organized! When it comes to my purse, I have trouble organizing all of the papers I seem to accumulate, like receipts, finding my cell phone when it rings, and paring down what’s in my purse to just the essentials.

Tips: What is the best advice you have on what to do to keep your purse neat and orderly? What are 3 must haves that people should keep in their purse?

My biggest life saver when it comes to organizing my purse are zippered bags. I use one for money related items, like cash, cards and receipts, one for makeup, and another for a small notepad and pen. My 3 must haves include a bank card or some cash, a cell phone, and tissues.

You can find more great tips about organizing your purse in this article by Alicia called “Getting Organized: When Your Purse Weighs More Than Your Body“.

I know you can relate to that!

Oh, and be sure to share your ideas about keeping your purse organized here, too. Just add your comment below.
