Take A Minute or Five

Jump to:

Do you often feel as though you’ve wasted an entire afternoon or even a day without accomplishing anything?

I think that as ADD Moms we can often feel that way.

we procrastinate, we don’t get around to it, we wait until we feel like doing it.

And stuff doesn’t get done.

Here are a few ideas for things that you can do in 5 minutes or less. Some are even doable during commercial breaks. Give a few a try.

Pour some liquid cleaner into the toilet and swish it.

Get some disinfectant wipes for the kitchen and bathroom. Use one to swipe the counter or the sink.

Pick up 5 things to throw away.

Pick up 5 things to put away.

Check your planner or calendar to see what’s coming up.

Pay a bill online.

Dust a tabletop. They make wipes for that too.

Straighten up a cluttered area like your countertop or coffee table.

Throw a load of laundry in.

Sort through the mail.

Wipe down one shelf in your fridge. Especially easy if you do it just before you go shopping when it’s likely to be empty.

While you’re at the fridge, get rid of any science experiments and throw away a few expired condiments.

Come up with one dinner idea for next week. Now do another.

Clean out your purse.

Go through your magazines and recycle or donate all that you’ve read.

Fold a load of laundry.

Run a Swiffer over the kitchen floor.

Empty the bathroom garbage.

Go through your makeup bag and throw out things you don’t use.

Sort through the medicines in your house and throw out unused or expired ones.

I’m sure there are lots more little things you can do, but you get the idea. Come on, you’ve got a couple of minutes. Make them count.
