31 Days and 31 ways to simplify your life, whether or not you have ADHD ๐Ÿ™‚

Have you ever seen the inside of someone’s car and it looked like they were living in it?

I remember a lady down the street when we bought our first house. She had a home, but her car had no room in it except for her. It was packed to the roof with stuff.

My daughter’s car looks like mine did when I had small children. There are toys, and bits of snacks, and random things inside, mostly in the back seat.

My own car is quite clean and organized, thank you very much, mostly because it’s too new to let it get trashed. That, and my husband would not let it happen.

I keep up on emptying out the water bottles or whatever stuff we have in the car, like snacks when we’re on a road trip.

There are scrapers in the back, cause winter’s coming, you know.

And I keep a few cloth bags for groceries plus a giant bag that folds up for Costco runs.

There is a quarter in the console for Aldi visits ๐Ÿ˜‰ and my husband keeps his sunglasses in there.

I also have a charger that you can use for your phone.

What do you keep in your car?

Are you careful about what goes in it, or is it just a bit of a mess?

Back in the day, my mom and dad owned one of those customized vans; the ones that had fancy seats and a table in the back.

My mom outfitted theirs with throw pillows, a throw, a trash can, and some scented things to make it smell good. I’m surprised she didn’t add a chandelier!

What you carry in your car is dependent on your situation, as well as the time of year and where you live.

Here are some ideas for things you might find useful, but don’t feel that you need them all:

  • A first aid kit
  • Something for trash – just an empty plastic bag will do
  • Tissues
  • Water
  • Winter gear like scrapers, salt, and maybe windshield wiper fluid
  • Jumper cables
  • A blanket
  • Non perishable snacks, like protein bars

You don’t want to overload your car, but you do want to be prepared just in case.

And you do need to clean it out. ๐Ÿ™‚
