5 Ways to Save Time

As ADD Moms we have trouble managing our time. Anyone with Attention Deficit Disorder has a problem with time management.

We experience time as something that is fluid rather than fixed. That means that sometimes hours fly by like minutes and sometimes minutes seem like days.

People without ADHD have those kinds of experiences once in a while, but not at all the way we do.

When you’re not so good at managing your time, you need to find ways to save time. Here are five:

Put your bills on autopay. If you’re the one paying the bills in your family, this step alone can save you at least an hour a week.

Bunch your errands together. There’s no sense in running to the drug store one day and to Target the next. Pick a day to run errands and stick to it. Let your family know too.

Simplify mealtimes. Make a roast on Sunday and then use the leftovers for dinner later in the week as a casserole. Designate certain days to certain meals, kind of like how devout Catholics never eat meat on Fridays.

Develop a wardrobe uniform. For me, that means a collection of long sleeved cotton shirts and jeans. I add a cardigan, jacket or even a necklace to make it look more polished.

Develop good habits one at a time. For the next 30 days, make a habit of swishing the toilet and wiping out the bathroom sink once a day. A squirt of cleaner (or even cheap shampoo) works for the toilet and disinfectant wipes are perfect for the sink.

When you make purposeful efforts to manage your time more effectively, positive changes take place in your life and it becomes a little less crazy. You just have to keep at it.

  5. I kept forgetting to take my pills at the right time. I bought a MED-Q pill box. It flshes on the indivdual box of the pill to be taken. It asko has a beeping alarm. I set the time and it reminds me automaically twice a day. It cost less than 40 dollars but is PRICELESS. Google MEDQPILLBOX and watch the video
