Exciting AD/HD News

Jump to:

I have some exciting news for all of us in the AD/HD community, and especially for those of you who live in WASHINGTON state.

A new website is on the horizon, and it comes courtesy of the people who make Focalin XR, an ADD medication. The purpose of the site is to share a series of videos from people just like you – parents, kids, and teachers – whose lives are touched in one way or another by Attention Deficit Disorder, and to help the community share hope through the power of digital storytelling.
I am privileged to be involved with this project (on a very small level) and I will be very excited to see it come to fruition.

Bonnie Southcott, from Toolhouse Design, is the person in charge of making the magic happen and she is looking for participants in Washington state to share their AD/HD experiences with her. I’ll let Bonnie tell you about it:

Share Your ADHD Story on the Web!

Toolhouse Design Company, a Seattle-area interactive design firm, is working on a Web site for families living with ADHD. The site will feature 10 four-minute video profiles of parents, teens, “tweens†and educators impacted by ADHD. Toolhouse Design is looking for Washington State parents and children interested in participating in the project.

The Web site will harness the power of storytelling, through the video profiles of parents and children living with ADHD, to provide hope and a sense of community for others who frequently feel isolated by ADHD. Our company created a similar project last year for the cystic fibrosis community. You can see that Web site at www.cfvoice.com.

The ADHD video profiles will be done in the same way as those on the CFvoice.com site. The ADHD site is intended to create an “I’m not alone” feeling, and give site visitors ideas about how others are coping with ADHD at home and in the classroom.

If your child is treated with Focalin XR, and you live in Washington State, you are eligible to participate. If you would like to be considered for the project, please contact:
