Power On: A Review

PowerOn

Note: I was provided with a 60 count bottle of PowerOn in order to review it. Opinions expressed are my own.

So what is PowerOn and what do you do with it?

PowerOn

The label on the PowerOn bottle calls it “A Dietary Supplement”; basically it’s a blend of vitamins, minerals, and herbs designed to give you added energy and focus.

The directions say to take 2 capsules 20 – 30 minutes before a sporting event or when enhanced focus is required. A sporting event, as mentioned here, would be one in which you are actually involved as a player.

As someone with ADHD, my interest in this product is in regards to the added focus.

I gave PowerOn a try on a few different days.

Much of my day is still involved in taking care of my dad, often without enough sleep, so I think I made an exceptionally good guinea pig. 😉

I have been trying to put more structure into my days and find easier ways of doing things since I have very little time. One of the things that I wanted to do was write a detailed plan and plot it all out. The idea for the structure and plan came on the first day that I tried PowerOn. I was very excited that I had such an insight and clear headed thinking.

The next time I had a chance to actually sit down and work on the plan, I did not take PowerOn. When I sat down with pen and paper, I couldn’t remember the details of what I had intended to do. All of my great ideas were like wisps of smoke; I could see them, but not clearly enough to make sense of them. Frustrating!

I remembered the PowerOn and I took it as directed about 30 minutes before I sat down to work. This time I got a lot done. My ideas were down on paper and I had some new projects as well.

I do have to say that I have taken the supplement only once since then, but in general I have been more focused and productive. I don’t know if that is the result of my being able to get it all down in an understandable manner or what.

I do not think that there is any residual effect from the PowerOn. In fact, I noted that most times my clarity lasted between 2 and 3 hours.

I know you must be wondering about the ingredients. Believe me, I would never try something that might cause me or anyone else harm.

PowerOn contains, as I mentioned earlier, a variety of vitamins, minerals, and herbs. Many of them, like the vitamin Bs, selenium, and folic acid are things that I would recommend for helping with brain health and focus.

It also contains lemon balm, an herb useful for calming and chocamine, which is from the cocoa plant. I find it interesting that these were included. I looked chocamine up and found that it is useful for cognitive function and energy.

There are also other ingredients that I had not heard of, all designed to enhance cognitive function.

I have to be honest – I was somewhat shocked at the price. Right now it’s on sale for $59.99. I’m not sure I would be willing to pay that much for a single month’s supply. However, having said that, if you were to buy the ingredients in PowerOn individually, I’m sure the cost would be more and in the end, you wouldn’t be able to easily replicate the unique formula.

By the way, there is also a PowerOff, which is designed to help you get the best night’s sleep possible.

What do you think? Would you give it a try?
