Springpad

I am always looking for new and easy ways to keep my life and yours running more smoothly. One of the new things that I’ve tried is Springpad and I love it.

Springpad is a free service that lets you save almost anything – a url, a note, bookmarks, an event, a reminder, almost anything.

I like it because I can use it when I’m on my laptop or my iPod. Springpad is compatible with lots of mobile devices, too, so it may work with your cell phone.

Springpad has a button that you drag to your tool bar. Then whenever you find something online that you want to save, you just click on the button. Springpad copies it and lets you save it.

Here are some of my favorite ways to use Springpad:

Keeping track of products that I want to buy. Last weekend, our hot water heater went out. I went online and found one I liked at a reasonable price. One click of the button, and it was saved and accessible by my iPod. That way, I could go to the store, open my iPod, and find exactly the model I wanted.

Keeping track of bills I pay online. I pay all of our bills online and I like to keep track of when I paid, how much I paid, and the tracking or confirmation number. Springpad makes this easy. I click the button, save the information as a note, and I’m done.

Menu planning is another way I use Springpad. I plan my menu each week and then make my grocery list. I used to write my menu on my shopping list, but keeping the list around after I did my shopping didn’t work so well. Now I save my menu in Springpad and it’s easy to refer to throughout the week when I’m getting ready to make dinner. Plus I have a record of meals I’ve made before, which makes future planning easier.

There are a lot of other ways that you can use Springpad; why not pop over to the website and check it out?
