The Planner Chronicles: Part 5

Back in May, I updated my Planner Chronicles series by letting you know that I was still using my Martha Stewart Arc planner from Staples.

Well, it’s November and I’m happy to say that I am still using the same planner.

I love the size – about 8.5 x 5 – and I love the convenience of being able to add, remove, or move pages so easily.

The only issue I’ve had are the pages themselves. I’ve had a hard time finding ones that work for me.

The monthly pages are fine, but the daily or weekly pages I’ve used don’t seem to quite fit my needs.

Basically, as a woman with ADHD, I need to have things in front of me so that I remember them. That means my to do list plus my daily or weekly view. I haven’t decided yet which I prefer, although I’m leaning towards a weekly one.

If you follow me on Pinterest, you are most likely aware of my planner addiction. I have almost 300 pins just about planners. In my defense, I’m always on the lookout for better ways of doing things.

I finally decided that the only way to get what I want is to make it myself. I’m just sad that I have no skills in making something both useful and beautiful – no graphics skills – so I have to settle for utility.

I have the bare bones of my planner laid out already, but I thought I would get your opinion as well, since I intend to make it available for you too.

What do you need/want in a planner that you don’t have now?

What pages would you include? I’m thinking a dump list and a meal planning sheet. What about holiday sheets?

Please comment below or email me with your thoughts. I’d love to hear from you!

  1. Hello! I really like your blog! As I read your posts, I identify myself in each post! I’m same way with my planner as you are. Monthly pages are fine but weekly and daily – I customize. A few years ago, I used a half size Arc planner and spend time designing the inserts. I went through a few iterations but all for a good cause! Currently I’m using a ring binder with an accompanying brain dump notebook. I share my inserts through my Instagram account and can share them with you.

  2. Oh I wish I had your talent! I’d love to see what you’ve done. How do I follow you on Instagram?
