When it comes to your ADHD, are you a positive person or a negative one?
Do you look at ADHD in terms of deficit and disorder or do you see a brighter side?
I admit, I’m not always Suzy Sunshine in terms of disposition, but I don’t ever wish I didn’t have ADHD. I like myself the way I am, quirks and all. I like to think of them as charming. đŸ™‚
Do I forget things? Sometimes. Do I have trouble actually getting stuff done? Oh yeah. So what?
How much fun would I be if I were organized and perfect all the time? Not much.
I’m the mom who has water fights with my kids in the kitchen, not the one who’s arranging their clothes by color. (Yes, I had a neighbor like that once. She organized crayons and hair bows, too, and made sure that the piles of snow on either side of her driveway were symmetrical.)
So what about you?
I bet you’ve got parts of your ADHD that you wish you didn’t. I know it can be frustrating.
But the bottom line is that a) you do have ADHD, like it or not, and b) is your glass half full or half empty?
You get to choose.
