Are We Going to Soar?

Night Time Ramblings

This is a spontaneous post. Most of my posts are planned and researched in advance. They go on two different calendars and I track them step by step.

They are measured and edited and done just right. Or as right as I can make it.are we going to soar? an add woman

Not this one.

But I hope you read it and respond. Even if it’s to tell me I’m full of that word that rhymes with hit.

My Jump to the End

I don’t know how much of this you will be willing to read, so I’m just going to throw it out there, without an explanation. Maybe I’ll give you that later, if you’re still reading.

One of the things in writing this blog is figuring out what you need and want. And yes, let’s be honest, what you would be willing to buy if it helped you in some way.

I think you want way more than how to clean a house or stop losing your keys.

I think you want a little bit of magic. A little woo. A little dream chasing.

I think you want more than to live the same life next year that you lived this year.

Get up, go to work. Come home, make dinner. Do laundry. Watch TV. Go to bed.

Rinse and repeat.

So Here’s My Thought:

I think that there’s a part of you who wants to be that person you’ve buried deep down inside. The one who dreams and does amazing things. Creative, colorful, fun things. (Like when I started college and wanted to be a graphic artist and my mom wanted me to be a nurse. I got a degree in business. Insert vomiting emoji here.)

Or like my friend, whom I will call Lisa. She dreamed of being a photographer. There were people who told her it was a nice hobby but not practical.

She has her own studio now, is booked forever, and travels everywhere. Did I mention she has ADHD?

So you have that part of you, but you try to ignore it. It doesn’t pay the bills after all.

And so I write about managing your time, and try to teach you how to keep your house clean.

Those things are important, but they’re not life.

A Different Life: A New Woman

I created a course a few years ago that I never really did anything with. It was called A New Woman.

Here are a couple of inspirational quotes that inspired it:

“If you celebrate your differentness, the world will, too. It believes exactly what you tell it—through the words you use to describe yourself, the actions you take to care for yourself, and the choices you make to express yourself. Tell the world you are one-of-a-kind creation who came here to experience wonder and spread joy. Expect to be accommodated. (11)” ? Victoria Moran, Lit From Within: Tending Your Soul For Lifelong Beauty

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by it’s ability to climb a tree, it will live it’s whole life believing that it is stupid.” – Albert Einstein

And here’s another crazy idea from the course: what you say when you talk to yourself (even just thinking in your head) your brain takes as complete fact. Even if it’s not true.

I’ve added a link to the pdf of the book this idea came from if you’re interested.

So Comment, Please

Let me know what you think; what you want.

Are we spending next year cleaning toilets and organizing our spice cabinet or are we taking a leap and soaring?

And so you know, we can do both.

You can comment below, or use the form. The comment section is way, way down there. I’d move it if I knew how. 😉

And thank you.
