Becky from Organizing Made Fun wrote a series of posts about “How to Have a (Fake) Immaculate House” a while back.
I bookmarked it and read it all the way through. And then I thought “what great ideas”.
And then I did what you always do when you have ADHD. I forgot about it and never put any of her great ideas in place.
Skip ahead a few weeks or months. I’m on the computer and I’m bored. I start looking through my bookmarks and there it is: “How to Have a (Fake) Immaculate House”.
So I read them all again and think “what great ideas”.
Only this time I decide to actually do some of them.
I have to say, I didn’t do them in order. And I haven’t done all of them because some of them – like “finish what you start” – is just more than I want to face right now. Finish what you start means if you do a load of laundry, it goes from washer to dryer to folded and put away all on the same day. Nope, I’m not ready for that one yet.
But as I’ve said, Becky has some great ideas. And really, who wouldn’t want to have an immaculate looking house without hours and hours of work?
