Get Your Clean On

Jump to:

Two days from now my daughter and sweet grandson will be arriving for a visit. I can’t wait! I have the pantry stocked and the downstairs is looking pretty good, thanks in large part to my husband, who is tireless.

The guest bedroom, however, has not yet recovered from it’s most recent guest – my other daughter, who was here a few weeks ago.

The bed is stripped. That’s all I can say.

The sheets are in the washer and there are a frightening number of quilts lying about the bed and yes, the floor.

Surely you can relate?

I just don’t have the energy/motivation/interest in cleaning it. I should, but I don’t.

I blame it on my ADHD. Maybe it isn’t ADHD at all, but I think it is, so that’s who gets the blame.

I mean, how much boring can it get than cleaning? And it’s not like you can do it and be done with it. Nope, wash those dishes today and you’ll just have to wash them again tomorrow. And really, when was the last time all of the laundry in your house was done? It never is, unless you’re a family of nudists.

Every now and then – OK maybe a lot more often than that – I find that a little bit of help and/or inspiration from women who really have it together when it comes to cleaning is in order.

I love reading their blogs. And some times they even inspire me to get up and do some cleaning myself.

Lucky for me and you, Alice Emma Thompson from Mums Make Lists, has got our back.

She has put together a list of 75 Moms Who Will Get Your House Clean!

Alice has even subdivided them by expertise. Need to know the basics of cleaning? She’s got just the bloggers for you. Trying to be a recovering slob? She has those too.

Head on over to Alice’s blog and read what she has to say, then start visiting a few blogs here and there for inspiration.

You may not get any cleaning done, but it’s a great way to lose a few hours. 😉

You’re welcome.
