I wrote a similar post to this yesterday and somewhere between writing and publishing it, it disappeared. If you should happen to find it, please let me know. 🙂
ADHD always comes with friends – extras who tag along for the ride. They can be learning disabilities, anxiety, depression, and even asthma, just to name a few.
If you’ve been reading this blog for any time, you know that one of my close friends is depression. I’ve been spending a lot of time with this particular friend over the past few weeks, which explains my absence here. I apologize for that, although there was really very little I could do to help it.
I felt a lot of guilt about ignoring my readers and friends, but still helpless to do anything about it.
What finally helped was to allow myself some time to just work through it, guilt free. Sit with depression and let it have it’s say. A day or two was all I really needed before I began to see my way out.
For those of you wondering – I have been under treatment for depression for a little over a year. Sometimes when something unexpected happens, my depression sort of overflows it’s bounds.
I want to thank those of you who have stuck by me. I’m better now, and I’m back.
