September 14-20, 2008 is ADHD Awareness Week. The week was designed to educate people about Attention Deficit Disorder and also to help organizations that work with ADDers.
Many organizations, such as CHADD and ADDA are having special events this week, either online, in various regional locations, or both. In addition to added information, you may also find special reports or other give aways at many sites.

What a wonderful video!! It made me kind of teary because as an adult who has just recently, at 37, been diagnosed with ADD (no hyperactivity unfortunately) I DO feel damaged. My sweet son shows signs of ADHD at 6 years old and I feel for him and it makes it doubly difficult to do homework with him since we are BOTH dealing with this issue. Just know that it touched my heart and I appreciate what you and Leslie has to say.
I’m glad you liked the video, and I’m so glad it touched your heart. Leslie and I were both a little emotional while we were filming it, because we both feel so passionately about ADD.
I was 42 when I was diagnosed, and I know how you feel. Now that you’re aware of it, though, you can take steps to make things better for you and your son.
