It’s Not Always ADD

Jump to:

Don’t you hate it when someone gets into trouble, and somehow ADD gets blamed?

The other day I was watching one of those true crime shows. This one was about a man whose wife had a fatal “accident” shortly after he had taken out a large life insurance policy on her.

The prosecution made a big deal of the fact that the man had called his insurance agent about 20 times, checking to make sure that the policy was in effect. Of particular note was the fact that he had called the agent the day after the wife’s death – again, to make sure the policy was in effect – but had failed to mention that she was dead.

Easy to explain, the man claimed. He had ADD, and forgot that she was dead. Are you kidding me????

The jury apparently bought it, because they found him not guilty.

I hate it when people try to use Attention Deficit Disorder for just plain wrong behavior.
